Fact Check : Does Smriti Irani’s daughter own a bar in Goa with fake liquor license?

A recent controversy erupted after a congress leader targeted Smriti Irani’s daughter. In the claims made by the congress leader Mr Pavan Khera, Smriti Irani’s daughter is running a restaurant cum bar in the state of Goa. The name of the cafe is Silly Soul Cafe.

The allegations were then answered by the union minister herself that her daughter is currently pursuing college and is not involved in any restaurant business. She even said that my daughter is not involved in any politics however she is still being targeted by the Congress party leaders.

The allegations made by Mr Pavan Khera are that she has owned a liquor license under the name of a person who died in 2021 and she got the license in 2022. However, Mrs Smriti Irani has stated all these claims made by the Congress party are baseless.

However several social media posts have since emerged in which Smriti Irani’s daughter can be seen in an interview. The interviewer introduces her by calling her a young entrepreneur on show.

However, the Congress party hasn’t produced the name of the person under whom the liquor license was bought. So far these allegations seem to be baseless as no proof of her getting a fake liquor license has been produced by them.
