Fed Up With Increasing Google Storage Space; Here Are Some Tips To Clean Up Your Gmail, Google Drive And Google Photos
Many of us have some unread emails or large attachment files in Gmail, photos and videos that take a lot of space even of your Google Photos and Google Drive. Earlier Google used to offer unlimited space for photos and emails but now the company has set up a limit for all the users.
Google gives users 15GB of digital storage for free that includes Gmail, Google Drive and Google Photos. Google also sends users warnings when they are running low on space. With a few simple and easy steps, you can find out what’s taking up all that space and how to free some of it up.
You can check which files are taking up more space via Storage Manager. Well in my case Google Photos is the one that is taking most of the space.
Steps To Free Up Google Storage using Storage Manager
- Go to Storage Manager
- You will see Clean up suggested items like Spam emails, large photos and videos, large files and emails with large attachments
- You can click the Review option under any category to see what’s in there
- Select any item that you want to delete and Click Delete all or Move to trash
- In case you move any item to trash, go to Trash and select Empty Trash
Users can also go to Google Photos, Gmail or Google Drive under Clean up by service and use available filters to further clean up by service. Or you can also go to Clean up your device option.
Meanwhile, Google also offers Google One membership in which you can purchase extra storage for your account by paying a monthly or annual fee.
