ISRO invites citizens to witness the launch of GSLV-F14/INSAT-3DS mission free of cost from the Launch View Gallery, Sriharikota, launch scheduled for 17 February 2024

ISRO’s GSLV-F14/INSAT-3DS Mission is scheduled to launch on 17 February 2024, Saturday at 5.30 pm. ISRO is now inviting citizens to witness the launch LIVE from the Launch View Gallery (LVG), SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota. ISRO updated about the same on Monday, 12 February 2024, on the social media platform X.

Registration is now open for the same and you can register for the launch programme here.

Visitors won’t be charged any amount to witness the launch from the Launch View Gallery, Sriharikota. If you are interested in registering for the launch programme, you will need your Aadhar card/Driving License/any Govt issued ID, mobile number and email ID.

Meanwhile, the realization works of Space Theme Park are also under progress, which will enable the citizens of the nation to witness the launches that take place from the spaceport. These realization works include the Rocket Garden, Launch View Gallery, and Space Museum.

As of now, the Launch View Gallery is open to the public, and other facilities are under process.

The INSAT-3DS will be launched aboard the GSLV-F14 rocket. The Ministry of Earth Sciences has funded the mission.

The aim of the GSLV-F14/INSAT-3DS mission is to monitor the ocean and land surfaces and carry out meteorological observations. These studies will help researchers to further enhance weather forecasting and disaster warning systems.
