Russian hacker group Killnet, reportedly launched cyberattack on Lockheed Martin, American Defense Giant

According to reports, pro-Russian hacker group, Killnet and their founder, Killmilk launched a cyber-attack on Lockheed Martin, the American Defense Giant. 

The hackers stated that Lockheed Martin is the actual sponsor of world terrorism. They also hold Lockheed Martin accountable for thousands and thousands of human deaths. 

Lockheed Martin are the developers of the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) that the US supplied to the Ukrainian armed forces. According to statements by the hacker-group to reporters, the HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, “allowed the criminal authorities of the Kyiv regime to kill civilians, destroy the infrastructure and social facilities of the still temporarily occupied Ukraine”. 

The hacker-group Killnet,is known for their Denial-of-Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on government institutions and private companies since the commencement of Russia’s Ukraine invasion. 

The hackers, in both the DoS and DDoS attacks, floods the servers of a given platform, service or website, with traffic to shut down the servers. 

According to reports, in the month of June, the crowdsourced Russian hacktivist group also carried out an intense DDoS attack on Lithuanian government institutions and companies. This was done in retaliation to the blockade that Lithuania imposed on the transit of EU-sanctioned Russia goods like steel and iron ore to Kaliningrad. 

In addition, Killnet has also executed similar DDoS attacks on the official website of the US Congress and a Connecticut airport, according to reports. 

However, Killnet announced that the attack launched on Lockheed Martin is a new type of attack.
