Tweetbot confirms its shutdown after Twitter made changes and suspended access to all third-party clients. Now Twitter users who depended on this app will now need to use the official Twitter app on iOS or Android or Twitter experiences on the web. By doing this the company will now be able to serve ads to all its users.
This was an unnoticed action taken by Twitter and there was no communication from Twitter due to which there were no details about the situation. This action from Twitter cut off the revenue streams of the developers and they were even not able to inform customers who paid for their apps about the shutdown.

The company said anyone having an existing subscription to their services can cancel their renewals by going to iOS Settings -> Your Apple ID -> Subscriptions -> Tweetbot. Else the company is also working on automatic cancellation of renewals but it would take time.

Tweetbot further introduced its new service, Ivory built on an open and free platform Mastodon, and wishes that its existing users help them and join the platform making it successful.
