Redmagic has announced the global launch of its Nova gaming tablet, previously released in China as the Redmagic Gaming Tablet Pro.

Features and Specifications

The Redmagic Nova is a gaming-focused tablet weighing 530g with a thickness of 7.3mm, available in Midnight colour. It features a 10.9-inch display with a 2.8K resolution (2880 x 1800), a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a peak brightness of 550 nits. The tablet’s touch sampling rate is 840 Hz, and it comes with SGS-certified eye protection.

For performance, the Nova is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version processor, with the CPU’s big core boosted to 3.4 GHz and the GPU frequency increased to 1 GHz. It runs on REDMAGIC Space 9.5 software. The device offers two memory configurations: 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB, utilising LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The tablet’s cooling system includes a 17,173.4mm² high-speed turbine centrifugal fan running at 20,000 RPM, along with a 9-layer cooling structure. It incorporates a 29,400 mm² under-screen aerospace aluminium layer, a 9,268 mm² mainboard superconducting copper foil, and an 89,114 mm² integrated aerospace aluminium shell, achieving a thermal conductivity of 6,000 W/m·K.

For connectivity, the Nova supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax and Bluetooth 5.4. It features a 20MP front camera and a 50MP rear camera. The audio system includes DTS-X Ultra Sound, four symmetrical speakers, dual 0815 motors for 4D vibration, and three built-in microphones. The tablet is powered by a 10,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

Additional features include a USB-C port (USB 3.1 Gen2) and compatibility with REDMAGIC keyboard, mouse, pen, and gamepad accessories.

Price and Availability

The Redmagic Nova will be available internationally through redmagic.gg. The launch timeline includes an International Launch Announcement on 27 September 2024, followed by an Early Bird Offer on 7 October 2024. Early Access for Early Bird Offer purchasers begins on 15 October 2024, with the Open Sale starting on 16 October 2024, at 13:00 BST.

The tablet is priced at $499 USD / €499 EUR / £439 GBP / S$779 SGD / 11,999 MXN for the 12GB+256GB model, and $649 USD / €649 EUR / £559 GBP / S$999 SGD / 15,499 MXN for the 16GB+512GB model. RedMagic has teased the launch of a new gaming tablet in the global market. This tablet goes by the name of RedMagic Nova Gaming tablet. As per the official site for the global region, this gaming tablet will be launched on September 27th at 8:00 AM EST. And now as per the recent X post by the company, this tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version paired with the LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This will be the world’s first gaming tablet to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version processor.

This tablet has already been launched in China’s market as RedMagic Tablet Pro. It comes with a 10.9-inch wide 2.8K resolution display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 840Hz touch sampling rate. In the camera department, it has got 50MP rear camera and a 20MP selfie shooter. The tablet comes equipped with the ICE 2.0 cooling system for thermal management. It is backed by a 10,100mAh battery that supports 120W charging. Connectivity options on the tablet include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The tablet came with a starting price of CNY 3,999 which is roughly Rs 47,000.

RedMagic has officially confirmed the launch of a RedMagic Gaming Pad in China on September 5th.  This gaming tablet can come in two different sizes suggested by its teaser on Weibo.

This tablet can be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset which will make it the first tablet to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset. As per the X post by a user named AndroPlus, this gaming tablet can come in 8-inch and 10-inch display options.

The RedMagic 9S Pro smartphone is confirmed to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant with overclocked Cortex-X4 core. The core will be clocked at 3.4GHz. It will also come with the improved GPU whose frequency has been increased to 1GHz. It will pack LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash memory.

It not only comes with a high-performance processor but also makes sure that the smartphone does not lose its cool with the ICE 3.5 Magic Cooling System that will let you play the games at stable high frame rates for long durations. Yesterday the smartphone brand Nubia officially confirmed that Red Magic 9S Pro will be launching in the Chinese market on 3^rd July. Last year Nubia launched Red Magic 8S Pro smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading version chipset and this year the company was expected to follow the same trend by launching Red Magic 9S Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset.
