Nothing Ear and Ear(a) Announced With Support For Active Noise Cancellation Up To 45dB

Nothing has finally unveiled the much-awaited Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear(a). Here the company has refreshed its numerical nomenclature as Nothing Ear is the successor of the Nothing Ear(2) while the Nothing Ear(a) is the affordable variant of it. Let’s get to know about these two sound products in detail.

Nothing Ear

As per the company, Nothing Ear retains the same transparent design as its processor but a significant change has been made inside. The company has redesigned things inside including from the battery to the driver to make it the best-sounding product by the company yet. It is equipped with the 11mm Dynamic Driver that Nothing says is the most advanced driver. The company has reconfigured the drivers and refined the stack layout to deliver high-bass audio. The ceramic diaphragm enhances the clarity and richness of sound. Its acoustic chamber has also been updated by including two vents that improve the airflow which means less distortion and better clarity.

These earbuds support Active Noise Cancellation up to 45dB. The new mic design of the earbuds comes with an extra vent allowing wind to flow through easily and coupled with the voice algorithm the disturbance in calls has been reduced significantly. It comes with Hi-Res Audio certification and supports LDAC and LHDC codecs. As far as battery life is concerned it is promised to offer a battery life of up to 40.5 hours with a charging case and 8.5 hours with buds only. It can be quickly charged for 10 hours with just 10 minutes of charge.

Nothing Ear(a)

The Nothing Ear(a) comes in a striking yellow colour option with the support of Active Noise Cancellation up to 45db. It offers a battery life of 42.5 hours with a charging case and 9.5 hours without it when fully charged. It supports dual connection and delivers Hi-Res Audio Certified sound. The earbuds come with a new driver design that is optimised for deeper bass performance. It comes in three colour options that are white, black, and yellow.

Price and availability

The Nothing Ear has been announced at the price of $149(Rs 11,999). It has been launched in White and Black colour options. The affordable Nothing Ear(a) has been priced at $99(Rs 7,999). There is a Rs 1,000 launch discount on Nothing Ear available on Flipkart and the earbuds will be available from April 29th. The Nothing Ear(a) has a Rs 2,000 bank launch discount on Flipkart and the earbuds will be available from April 22nd.

This is not the sole thing that the company announced from the stage. It also revealed some of the community-made concept renders. And the TruLens Engine update that the company is bringing to the Nothing Phone(2). This update includes Ultra XDR, P3 Colour, and more true to life photos.
