Xiaomi just recently released the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone in the global market with impressive camera capabilities and a shocking price tag too. This tremor created by this series has not yet settled and reports about its successor have begun to come out. The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has been focusing on camera specifications in its flagship devices for a long time now and recently the company unveiled Xiaomi 14 Ultra in the Indian market which is said to provide the best photography experience to users. Well, it has just been a day since the open sale for this device started in India, and reports regarding the camera issue of this device have started coming in.

Well, a user @tech24naveen on the X platform has reported the issue of fog in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera lens.

The user has also shared the images in which the fog is visible. As per the user, he noticed this issue just after unboxing the device and clicking 3 to 4 pictures from the smartphone. The user has also further explained that the pictures were clicked at room temperature only. When asked how this issue was resolved, he mentioned that after a few minutes, the fog disappeared on its own.

A similar issue related to Xiaomi 14 was reported by a Reddit user one month back. The Reddit user faced the same issue after unboxing Xiaomi 14 when he took the device outside, the main lens fogged and it disappeared when the device was brought inside.

Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in the Indian market. The open sale of the smartphone will take place on 11th April 2024 at 12 PM. A few hours ago, you could pre-reserve the handset for Rs 9,999. The rest of the amount could be paid between 8th April to 12th April.

Now the pre-reserve window is closed so you will have to wait till it goes on open sale. The smartphone is priced at Rs 99,999 for the sole configuration of Rs 16GB/512GB. Xiaomi is offering a discount of Rs 5000 for HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank Credit and debit cards or a Rs 5000 additional discount with Mi Exchange on select devices. The buyer will also get one free screen replacement within six months and one out-of-warranty repair with free labour cost within 12 months of purchase. It will be available via Xiaomi’s official site, Amazon India and Flipkart.

The leading Chinese consumer electronics maker, Xiaomi, had released its 14 and 14 Pro smartphones in the month of October 2023, and later the 14 Ultra model was unveiled last month in February 2024. A few days after the China debut of the 14 Ultra device, the vanilla 14 and 14 Ultra devices were also launched in the global market in February 2024 itself.

Xiaomi India has already confirmed the launch of the vanilla 14 model on the 7th of March 2024 and now, the brand has officially teased the launch of the 14 series in the Indian market. This is now raising the question regarding whether the 14 Ultra device will be launched in India on the same day or not.

Is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra Launching on 7th March in India?

While Xiaomi hasn’t exactly pinpointed out that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone is launching on the 7th of March 2024 in India along with the vanilla Xiaomi 14, there are certain other reports that confirms of its launch in the Indian market.

Firstly, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone global variant has received India’s BIS certification. An update also revealed the regions in which the device would be sold and one among them was the Indian region, apart from the Chinese, Japanese, and global markets.

The BIS listing and the update that states India to be one of the markets were the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone will be sold confirms that the device will be launched in the country, but these aren’t enough to state clearly that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra device will debuted in India along the Xiaomi 14 smartphone three days later. However, as the brand has mentioned “Xiaomi 14 Series” in its Twitter/X post, it is not wrong to believe that the device could be launched on the same day. With more official updates, we might be able to get a better clarity on the matter.

Xiaomi’s Latest Devices for the Global Market

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra are the two smartphones that have been released in the global market. The vanilla Xiaomi 14 will be available in three color choices of Black, White, and Jade Green, while the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model comes only in Black and White color options.

About the price and storage variants, the Xiaomi 14 will have two storage variants with starting price of €999. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra on the other hand will only come in one storage option for the global customers with a price tag of €1499. To add, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra photography kit will also be available at a staring price of €199.

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra customers will also be able to avail other benefits such as four Android OS upgrades, five years of security patch updates, 100GB Google One cloud storage for six months, and YouTube Premium for three months.

The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro tablet will only have the Graphite Gray color choice in the global market and two storage options. The starting price for the device will be €699. Optional keyboard and stylus will also be available for €170 and €100, respectively.

About the wearables, the Xiaomi Watch S3, Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, and Xiaomi Watch 2 have been released with respective price points of €149, €69, and €199.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is integrated with the Adreno 750 GPU. It runs on the Android 14 based HyperOS custom skin.

It features an LTPO AMOLED display panel of 6.73″ screen size. The display also has a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate support of 120Hz.

At the rear, the device sports a 50MP(main) + 50MP(periscope telephoto) + 50MP(telephoto) + 50MP(ultrawide) quad camera setup. For selfies, there is a 32MP front-facing camera.

Regarding the battery, it packs a 5000 mAh battery with a 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging features. A 10W reverse wireless charging feature is also supported on the device.

5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e/7 (Triple Band Support and Wi-Fi Direct), Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC connectivity are the other key specs.

Xiaomi 14

The Xiaomi 14 device is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and has the Adreno 750 GPU onboard. It also comes with the HyperOS custom skin based on the Android 14 operating system out of the box.

A 6.36″ LTPO OLED display screen is present on the device, which has a resolution of 1200 x 2670 pixels and refresh rate support of 120Hz.

Coming to the cameras, a 50MP triple camera unit housing additional 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide lenses is there at the rear. A 32MP selfie camera is also part of the device.

It is backed by a 4610 mAh battery and supports a wired fast charging feature of up to 90W. 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging features are also supported.

Other key specs include 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e/7 (Dual Band Support and Wi-Fi Direct), Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro

The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and has the Adreno 750 GPU. The Android 14 based HyperOS custom skin is present on the device.

For its display, the device has an IPS LCD display panel with 12.4″ screen size, 2032 x 3048 pixels resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate.

A 50MP(main) + 2MP(depth) dual rear camera unit and a 32MP front-facing camera are also part of this latest tablet device.

The device packs a 10000 mAh battery backup and supports a wired fast charging feature of up to 120W. No wireless charging or reverse charging features are supported.

It also doesn’t support cellular connectivity, but has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/a/6/7 (Dual Band Support and Wi-Fi Direct), Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC (file transfer only) connectivity support.

Xiaomi Watch S3

The Xiaomi Watch S3 runs on the IoT HyperOS platform without any downloadable apps, and will be offering a 1.43″ AMOLED display and an aluminum metal body. Swappable stainless steel bezel design is a highlight of the device. Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and 486 mAh battery are other notable specs.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro has a metal coated frame and a 1.74″ OLED display screen, and is 5-ATM waterproof with quick-release straps. More than 150 sports modes, multiple health trackers, integrated GPS tracker, always-on display, 289 mAh battery, up to 14 days battery life are some other features.

Xiaomi Watch 2
