Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch date of its much-awaited series, the Xiaomi 14 series, which is on February 25th, 2024. Ever since the announcement was made by the company, the market has been buzzing with news about the phones that can be launched during the event. Recently, Xiaomi Japan reshared the announcement post of Xiaomi in which it announced the launch of the Xiaomi 14 series. When a user asked whether the Ultra model would be launched or not, Xiaomi Japan responded that the Ultra is also included in the series.

This confirmed that the company will also launch the Ultra model during the event. When users started sharing Xiaomi Japan’s response, in which it stated “Ultra is also included in the series,” Xiaomi Japan again came forth to say something.

Xiaomi Japan wrote on X, “The remark meant that ‘Ultra models are also included in the Xiaomi 14 series in terms of category.’ And further, it wrote, ‘It is currently unknown whether the Ultra will be included in this global version announcement. We do not share any information regarding the ceremony of the event. Sorry for the confusion.'”

So, if we were to make a final verdict, the Xiaomi Japan X post doesn’t confirm the Ultra model in the global market for now, at least. We can expect the company to announce this soon itself, otherwise, the launch event is not so far away either.

Realme announced its 150W UltraDart fast charging solution today, February 28, at Mobile World Congress 2022, and said the technology will soon be available on a phone called the Realme GT Neo 3. Realme claims that you will be able to charge the Realme GT Neo 3 equipped with 150W UltraDart fast charging from 0 to 50% in just 5 minutes, though the exact capacity has not been revealed.

The UltraDart Charging Architecture is at its heart, and it is designed to support charging powers ranging from 100W to 200W. According to Realme, it is the “world’s first charging architecture.” The brand has focused on three areas to ensure “ultra” fast charging while also ensuring users’ peace of mind. These are the following: speed, safety, and battery life.

The technology is said to use multi boost charge pumps to increase charging current, while a temperature management algorithm keeps thermal temperature below 43°C. This appears to keep the temperature at an ideal level while charging, with no potential safety risks. Finally, Realme claims that the battery inside a phone like the Realme GT Neo 3 can retain 80 percent capacity after 1000+ complete charge cycles.

Essentially, the new technology will charge your phone faster without overheating it or shortening its lifespan, which will necessitate extensive testing once the Realme GT Neo 3 becomes official.

Mobile World Congress ban Russian firms from tech show https://www.thetechoutlook.com/news/mobile-world-congress-ban-russian-firms-from-tech-show/ https://www.thetechoutlook.com/news/mobile-world-congress-ban-russian-firms-from-tech-show/#respond Sat, 26 Feb 2022 11:07:40 +0000 https://www.thetechoutlook.com/?p=39778

The GSMA will ban some Russian companies from exhibiting at Mobile World Congress 2022. While the wireless industry association didn't say which companies were barred from attending, it said there would be no Russian Pavilion to showcase that country's mobile products. Russia's invasion of Ukraine is now affecting technology trade shows.

The GSMA, which hosts the world’s largest trade show, Mobile World Congress, has announced that some Russian companies will be barred from attending the event. In light of the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict, the GSMA has limited Russian companies’ participation to some extent. The Mobile World Congress will be held in Barcelona from February 28 to March 3, 2022. MWC is expected to attract over 1500 exhibitors this year, including AWS, Lenovo, Samsung, Realme, Intel, and others. MWC has been plagued by exhibitor cancellations due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, but this year’s event will feature more tech companies than in 2020 and 2021.

There are no plans to cancel or delay MWC 2022 itself, the organization said on its website. The measures allow mobile devices to be sent to Russia, but only as long as they aren’t sent to Russian government employees.

Russian companies, such as the carrier VimpelCom, can buy dedicated show floor space, as with some trade shows, to give them a presence. The main ban will primarily affect companies relying on the Russian Pavilion for a presence.

The bans come at a time when technology is increasingly becoming a battleground for Russia and its Western adversaries. Meta’s Facebook and Twitter have taken steps to protect Ukrainians and those tracking Russian military movements, respectively. In retaliation for actions restricting four Russian media outlets, Russia has limited access to Facebook. Whether it wants to or not, the GSMA is getting involved in politics that will have an impact on the mobile world as a whole.
