Can SpaceX Dragon be a savior for ISS crew who are stuck there because of coolant leak

NASA is in talks with Space X to use its Crew’s Dragon capsule to bring the ISS crew back to earth. Recently the ISS crew was planning for a spacewalk but due to a coolant leak from the Soyuz capsule docked at the space station they had to cancel it.

NASA and Russia’s space agency Roscosmos are investigating the cause of a coolant leak from the Soyuz. If everything works right, the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft is scheduled to bring the ISS crew, including one US astronaut and two cosmonauts, back to earth early next year.

Moscow is extensively working to investigate the cause of the coolant leak and other than it they are also thinking of launching another Soyuz capsule to retrieve the ISS crew. Reports have suggested that NASA and SpaceX are in talks to accommodate additional crew members in the Dragon capsule if required but only if things don’t go right.

It would be interesting to see the next move of NASA and if SpaceX anyhow manages to bring the ISS crew back it will no doubt be a big milestone achievement for it in the midst of all this dilemma.
