Last month, OnePlus announced the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 TWS earbuds. According to a recent tweet by tipster Mukul Sharma, the brand is working on a new pair of Nord-branded earbuds. The moniker of the earbuds has now been revealed through its SIRIM certification in Malaysia.
On SIRIM, a new pair of OnePlus earbuds with model number E510A has appeared in the database. The listing reveals that the device will be called the OnePlus Buds Nord 2R when it arrives in the Malaysian market. The certification did not reveal anything about the specifications of the Buds 2R.
According to Sharma, the serial production of the Nord Buds 2R has already begun. He added that the earbuds may go official alongside the OnePlus Nord 3 5G. Both devices are also expected to launch in the Indian market.
The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 is currently available for Rs 2,999 in India. Some of its key features include a 12.4mm dual dynamic titanium driver, up to 25dB ANC, Dolby Atmos support, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a 480mAh battery, and up to 36 hours of playback time with the charging case.
The upcoming Nord Buds 2R is likely to be positioned below the Nord Buds 2. Hence, there is a possibility that it could be priced at around Rs 2,000 in India. It is likely that the Nord 3 and Nord Buds 2R may go official as early as next month (June) in India.
