Jio Financial Services Ltd (JFSL) has released an updated version of its JioFinance App. The app is now available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and MyJio, offering a range of financial products and services.

The release follows a beta phase that began on May 30, 2024, during which six million users tested the platform. JFSL states that user feedback from this period has been incorporated into the current version.

The JioFinance App now includes additional features such as Loans on Mutual Funds, Home Loans (including Balance Transfer), and Loan Against Property. These loans are available at market-competitive terms.

A digital savings account from Jio Payments Bank Ltd. (JPBL) is also part of the offering. JPBL reports that 1.5 million customers are using their accounts for routine expenses. The app includes features for UPI payments, mobile recharge, and credit card bill payments.

One of the app’s functions is to provide users with a view of their holdings across different bank accounts and mutual fund investments. The app also offers access to 24 insurance plans covering life, health, two-wheeler, and motor insurance.

JFSL has partnered with BlackRock to develop investment solutions, which they plan to introduce through the app in the future.

Reliance Jio, India’s leading telecom service provider, has recently implemented significant changes to its offerings. The company has expanded its entertainment domain services by introducing new products like JioTV OS, JioHome, and Jio TV+.

Jio also offers various prepaid plans catering to entertainment needs, including some with free Netflix subscriptions. These plans have been popular due to the rare inclusion of complimentary Netflix access.

However, Jio has now announced price hikes for these prepaid plans that come with free Netflix subscriptions. The company has also made substantial changes to its mobile tariffs, with price increases ranging between 12-27 percent. Additionally, Jio has restricted access to unlimited 5G services.

This tariff hike comes after a gap of two and a half years for Reliance Jio. The new pricing structure has been effective since July 3, 2024, marking a significant shift in the company’s pricing strategy.

Rs 1,099 plan is now Rs 1,299: The Rs 1,099 Reliance Jio Prepaid plan’s price has been hiked by Rs 200. The new plan is priced at Rs 1,299. This plan will offer Rs 149 monthly free Netflix Mobile subscription and a validity of 84 days. Along with it, you can avail of 2GB mobile data per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day.

Rs 1,499 plan is now Rs 1,799: The Rs 1,499 plan has received a hike of Rs 300, thus the new plan amounting to Rs 1,799. With this plan, you will gain a free Netflix Basic subscription and a validity of 84 days. The plan offers 3GB mobile data per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day.

Reliance Jio has increased their lowest recharge plans by about 27 percent or Rs 19 and the annual recharge plans by about 20-21 percent or Rs 340. On the other hand, medium-range mobile service plans have undergone tariff hikes of about 19-21 percent. All of these changes are now live on the Jio website and My Jio app.

The details of the recharge and offer are as follows.

First of all, the Recharge Plan costs you Rs 2999 and offers you a validity of 365 days. However, the catch is that on recharging during the New Year offer period, you will receive an additional 24 days of validity.

Secondly, it offers 2.5 GB of high-speed data, which marks the total data as 912.5 GB. You can do unlimited voice calls for 365 days. Eligible subscribers will also receive unlimited 5G data.

About the JioPhone Prima 4G, what makes this device special is its support for apps like YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, Google Maps, and others. It is said that the device supports 1,200 apps. Powered by the ARM Cortex A53 processor, the feature phone runs on the KaiOS operating system.

Speaking more about its specifications, the phone features a premium bold design and has a TFT display screen with a size of 2.4″.
