It is backed by a 57Wh battery that supports 65W fast charging via a Type-C port. The laptop offers 10+ hours of 1080p video playback. It weighs 1kg and comes with a 4.5mm ultra-slim profile.

As far as its hinge is concerned it will be a zero gap hinge thus bringing minimum crease on display.

It can feature two 50 MP cameras on the rear in which one can be the main camera with OIS support and the other can be ultrawide. A promotional teaser image of Infinix Zero Flip has also surfaced online that reveals the design and some key details of the device.

If we talk about the design, the device is said to arrive with zero gap hinge, and minimal screen crease and is revealed to feature two rear camera sensors along with an LED flash, volume, and power buttons on the right side, punch hole cutout for selfie camera, USB-C port, speaker grille and SIM tray is present at the bottom while the rear side features a patterned design.

Coming to the features, the above image reveals that the device will feature a 3.64-inch cover screen, 120Hz refresh rate, ProStable Video capabilities, front and rear cameras that will support 4K vlogging, Go Pro features and the smartphone will be DTS, Hi-Res, and TUV certified.

As far as other specs are concerned, previous reports revealed that it could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor and run on Android 14 OS (also confirmed by Infinix). It was recently spotted in BIS, FCC, NBTC, and TUV certifications, which also revealed some key specifications and a design schematic. However, its chipset had remained absent from the rumour mill until now. The device has been spotted on the Google Play Console, which reveals the chipset it may feature.

It has been listed with the same model number, “X6962”, which also appeared on other certifications. According to the Google Play Console, the SoC is codenamed “MediaTek MT6891Z/CZA”, which corresponds to the MediaTek Dimensity 1100. However, it is likely to be the MediaTek Dimensity 8020, which is a rebranded version of the Dimensity 1100. Both chipsets share the same core architecture, featuring 4x ARM Cortex-A78 cores (clocked at 2600 MHz) and 4x ARM Cortex-A55 cores (clocked at 2000 MHz). The listing mentions the GPU as the Mali G57 clocked at 805 MHz, but since it is the Dimensity 8020, it is expected to have the GPU clocked at 836 MHz.

Additionally, the listing reveals a screen resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels with a pixel density of 480 DPI. It also confirms that the device will run on Android 14 OS with at least 8GB of RAM. The screengrab from the BIS certification shows two model numbers, “X6861” and “X6962,” both added to the database on 13th August 2024. However, as usual, the BIS only reveals the model numbers, not the device names. Earlier listings on the FCC and TUV revealed that the Zero Flip will feature a dual battery setup of 3410 mAh and 1180 mAh, combining for a total capacity of 4590 mAh, along with 70W fast charging support. The FCC listing also disclosed one of the memory configurations as 8GB + 512GB.

It’s worth noting that an earlier tipster suggested the device might launch in August, along with some specifications. However, I’m sceptical about that leak, as he mentioned Zero Flip to have a battery capacity of 4700 mAh, while the TUV listing indicates otherwise.

Additionally, the Zero Flip has been spotted on the NBTC certification with the model number “X6962,” but without revealing the moniker. This suggests that Thailand can also expect the Zero Flip to be launched.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G is expected to be unveiled soon. It was recently spotted on the Google Play Console, featuring the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC paired with a Mali G610 GPU. The listing also reveals that the device is likely to come with at least 12GB of RAM. The screen is expected to have a resolution of 1080×2436 pixels with a pixel density of 480 DPI. Additionally, a TUV listing indicates a battery capacity of 4,900 mAh.

As for the launch timeline, considering past trends, the Infinix Note 40 Pro was listed on the BIS in March and subsequently launched in India in April this year. Therefore, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect Infinix to launch both of these smartphones in September. However, it’s best to hold off on speculation for now and wait for an official announcement from Infinix, which is anticipated soon.
