Tecno has finally launched Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 smartphones in the market. One of them is a clamshell-style smartphone while the other one is a book-style foldable. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G smartphone features a 6.42-inch wide FHD+ AMOLED cover screen and a 7.85-inch wide inner 2K+ AMOLED foldable display. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. In the camera department, the smartphone has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP portrait sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera at the back. For selfies, it has dual 32MP cameras. It is backed by a 5,700mAh battery that supports 70W charging and 15W wireless charging. It runs Android 14 out of the box. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. In the camera department, the smartphone has got 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The front side of the smartphone sports a 32MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 4,720mAh battery that supports 70W fast charging. It runs Android 14 out of the box and also comes with a side side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and supports WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth v5.3.

Both of the smartphones also come with Google Gemini-powered Ella AI assistant. It also comes with the AI Summary, AI Translation, AI Writing, AI Artboard, and AI Wallpaper.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 smartphone’s 8GB+256GB variant is priced at $699(Rs 58,661) while the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 smartphone’s 12GB+512GB variant is priced at $1,099(Rs 92,230). These phones will go on sale in Africa from September 23rd. The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 has been launched in Travertine Green and Moondust Grey colour while the Phantom V Fold 2 will be available in Karst Green, and Ripplig Blue.

The brand has collaborated with Chinese rapper and singer Lay Zhang for the launch of these upcoming devices. First let’s talk about, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2, it is revealed to arrive with a lighter and thinner body, a 7.85-inch immersive free stand display and the device is compatible with Phantom V Pen. It will be backed by a 5750 mAh battery that supports 70W Ultra charge. The device will be powered by Tecno AI.

Comin to the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2, it will feature a 3.64 inches functional and versatile cover screen, a 50MP Ultra selfie camera with OIS support, Classic DV mode, FreeCam stands while users will be able to click free shots on demand.

The company is yet to reveal the technical specifications of the phones though the design of the smartphones has been revealed. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 shows a rectangular island on the rear that has a triple camera setup. It also shows a stylus in the image which means it will come with the stylus support. The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 smartphone image shows a large cover screen and dual camera setup arranged vertically on one side.

These two smartphones will soon be launched in other markets also known for their appearances on certification websites like Bluetooth SIG Certification, Google Play Console, FCC, India’s BIS, TUV, and EEC certification websites.
