Google India Announced The Roll Out Of Its First Made In India Google Pixel 8 Devices In India

Tech giant Google has finally announced the rollout of Made In India Pixel 8 smartphones. This announcement has come from the company just a day ahead of its annual Made by Google event where Google will unveil the much-awaited Google Pixel 9 series smartphones. Google India announcing the Made In India Pixel 8 smartphone showed its gratitude for Union Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw. It wrote “Grateful for the partnership with Hon’ble Minister AshwiniVaishnaw as we look forward to bringing the TeamPixel experience to people across India”

Google has not given any further details on this. It first announced its plan to manufacture the Pixel phones in India back in October 2023. This is expected to increase the market share of the Pixel phones as local production can help the company sell its phones in India at a lower price. As per the reports Google partnered with the Foxconn and Dixon subsidiary Padget Electronics for the local production.

As far as its recent market share is concerned market research firm Counterpoint Research mentioned in its report for the March quarter that Pixel had 0.04 percent. With local manufacturing, it’s expected to go up to 1.5 percent.
