Here’s more about it.

OnePlus 9R and 8T – OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta Program

Those interested in OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T smartphone users in India can apply for the OxygenOS 14 closed beta program by going to the “Beta Program” section on “About device” in “Settings”. On successful submission of the application, the application will be reviewed and if the user is found to be eligible, the closed beta update will be rolled out to him/her. Do note that only 200 candidates will be taken into the program.

Users must also bear in mind that the closed beta update is still not yet stable and there are a lot of applications that are still not compatible with Android 14. Screen flashes, irresponsive screens, data losses, and many such issues are part of the beta update. Withstanding all these circumstances, users must give their valuable feedback to make the custom skin better. Compensating for the trouble users go through, OnePlus also assures rewards to the beta testers.

Speaking of some of the known issues, include problems like online ringtones not being displayed on the Contact page, screen flash when clicking on the Weather card in Shelf, and the stuttering issue when the “Hide gesture guide bar” is turned on without enabling the transition animation.

The users who want to return to the previous OxygenOS stable version are also free to do so, and for this, they simply have to download the update package from the respective server page and locally install it. Make sure to back up the device before installing it.

To submit feedback, users can dial “*#800#” on Google Dialer and then fill it up on the pop-up window that appears. Beta testers will also have to join the telegram group to communicate with the OnePlus team and other users of the program for this, keep in mind to submit the mobile number correctly and also to join the telegram group via the shared link.
