The rumor mill has been buzzing lately with the updates of the upcoming OnePlus 13 smartphone while recently the official design of the smartphone was also revealed online. Well, the brand has officially confirmed this much-anticipated device’s launch date.

OnePlus 13 is all set to debut in China on 31^st October at 16:00 (local time in China). The reservations for this smartphone have already started in China, consumers can enjoy up to 2662 Yuan new product gifts.

Interested buyers can reserve the device at 1 Yuan and enjoy a first sale purchase. They will also get some reservation benefits- OnePlus JAGO travel cup, B Station VIP monthly card, battery warranty for two years, Oppo Enco R3 True Wireless Earphones, and Up to 24 months free installments while the maximum subsidy for old-for-new exchange is 1450 Yuan.

Previously the Black color variant of the device was leaked online. At the same time, today OnePlus has officially shared the color options of the OnePlus 13- Black (called Obsidian secret realm) which features ebony wood grain glass, White dew morning light that features silk glass craftsmanship, and Blues hour that features skin-friendly velvet leather.

The circular camera module houses three camera sensors and an LED flash. A thin linear line moves from the right of the camera module to the device’s left side panel. Also, the HASSELBLAD branding from inside the camera module has been brought out to the right of the rear panel and placed above the linear line. The power and volume buttons are on the right side while the alert slider is on the left side of the smartphone.

Other than this flagship device, OnePlus has also unveiled its new magnetic turbocharger, AIRVOOC 50W magnetic wireless charger.

This charger is said to be made available soon in the Chinese market. In the coming days, OnePlus is expected to tease some more details of these upcoming devices.

OnePlus, the popular smartphone manufacturer, has announced a series of OxygenOS 14 updates for several of its devices. The updates, which are being rolled out incrementally, bring new features, improvements, and the latest security patches to the OnePlus 8T, Nord 2T, Nord CE3 5G, and the OnePlus 9 series.

OnePlus 8T

The OnePlus 8T is receiving the OxygenOS 14.0.0.603 update, which is currently rolling out in the Indian region.

We have by far come across a lot of updates concerning the upcoming OnePlus 13 device and now, what seems to be the rear panel image of the smartphone has been shared. At one glance, the OnePlus 13 looks similar to its predecessor, however, there are some notable changes in the design. A teaser image of the OnePlus 13 smartphone has also been shared, revealing of its debut next week in China.

OnePlus 13 – Revealed Rear Panel Image

This update originally comes from the tipster Digital Chat Station who has shared the image via the Weibo platform, and the image reveals the possible OnePlus 13 device in a similar ‘Silky Black’ color just like its predecessor. The circular rear camera module has been retained, along with the four circular units, but with certain changes.

Three of the four circular units carry camera sensors, while the last one has the LED flashlight. Do note that the OnePlus 12 has a comparatively smaller LED flash and the fourth circular unit also features a sensor within it along with the LED flash. Another notable change is the absence of the grille that expands from the camera module to the right side panel. This time instead, we can expect a thin linear line that moves from the right of the camera module to the device’s left side panel. Also, the HASSELBLAD branding from inside the camera module has been brought out to the right of the rear panel and placed above the linear line. The alert slider can be seen on the left side panel, just like before.

Other than the Black color variant, there is also a White color variant of the OnePlus 13 (similar to the Glacial White color variant of OnePlus 12) now being shared online. There is an OPPO device that can be spotted, and this is likely the Find X8 smartphone.

Speaking of other recent updates, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, ColorOS 5 (in China), BOE X2 8T LTPO AMOLED quad-curved 2K display, 50MP triple rear camera unit, 6000 mAh battery, 100W wired fast charging, and 50W magnetic wireless fast charging are some of its expected/revealed specifications.

OnePlus 13 – Launching Next Week

Coming to the official launch, while the launch date still remains unknown, the teaser image mentions the tagline – ‘Strength cannot be hidden, See you next week’ (translated). This means, we will get to see the OnePlus 13 debut in China this month itself, and it is now official. Most likely, after the launch of Qualcomm’s flagship chip, OnePlus would be announcing the launch date.

Following the 3C certification and along with the TAF Fast Charging listing, the OnePlus 13 global model was also spotted on the TUV Rheinland certification platform. Its global launch was there by confirmed, and it is said to take place either in December 2024 or January 2025.

Update: OnePlus India official website confirms that OxygenOS 15  will launch in India on 24th October. It is also revealed that the upcoming OnePlus flagship device will run on OxygenOS 15 (probably OnePlus 13). OxygenOS 15 is revealed to consumer less memory, leaving more room for pictures, music, documents and more.

Oppo has today officially unveiled its latest ColorOS 15 in China while its sub-brand OnePlus has also yesterday hinted towards the launch of OxygenOS 15 in India. OnePlus already started beta testing of OxygenOS based on Android 15 a few months back.

The exact launch date is expected to be revealed in the coming days while OnePlus is also expected to tease some of the features of this software upgrade.

Last month in an exclusive report, Smartprix revealed that OxygenOS 15 will bring a revamped control centre inspired by iOS and HyperOS. It is expected to boast an iOS-like volume panel, live photos feature, Never Settle Easter e is said to be back, lock screen customization, and dynamic-island-like feature.

The Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus, unveiled its Ace 3 Pro smartphone in late June 2024, just a few months back in its home market, following the Ace 3 China launch of early January 2024. Two months back, we came across an update concerning the next Ace 5 device and now, the upcoming Ace 5 Pro smartphone specs have also been tipped.

OnePlus Ace 5 Pro – Tipped Specifications

This update comes from tipster Digital Chat Station, the same tipster who revealed the expected specs of the Ace 5 device, and while he doesn’t mention the name of the smartphone, he notes that this is a OnePlus mid-range smartphone with SM8750 processor (Snapdragon 8 Gen 4/Snapdragon 8 Elite). Looking at the previous Ace 3 series, the vanilla Ace 3 and Ace 3 Pro devices had the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets respectively, and the next Ace 5 is said to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This thereby points that it could be regarding the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro itself that the tipster is speaking about.

Apart from the processor, he mentions that the upcoming smartphone would likely be featuring the Sony IMX906 primary and ISOCELL JN1 telephoto camera sensors, and may have the same image processing algorithm as on the Find X8 series devices. To add, both the IMX906 and JN1 are 50MP image sensors.

A few of its display specs have also been suggested. The Ace 5 Pro is expected to use the BOE X2 flat display panel with 1.5K screen resolution. The battery is revealed to be a silicon-carbon anode (Si/C) battery with a battery capacity of 6xxx, (and it could be 6300 ~ 6500 mAh). [Previous updates also report 100W wired fast charge support.]

Additionally, to a query in the comment section, the tipster also mentioned that the standard Ace 5 would be arriving first, and the Ace 5 Pro launch will take place about six months later. This is similar to what happened with the previous Ace 3 series.

The Ace 5 smartphone is expected to have its launch in China later this year in 2024, which means, the Ace 5 Pro launch could be taking place only in the mid half of next year in 2025. Do note that the Ace series is a China exclusive series, however, the Ace 5 model may arrive in the global market rebranded as the next OnePlus 13R, just like the OnePlus 12R (rebranded Ace 3).

BOE has today unveiled its latest X2 display panel, and this has confirmed some of the display specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 13 flagship smartphone that is expected to debut this month in China.

OnePlus 13 – Revealed Display Specs

As per what has been revealed, the OnePlus 13 smartphone’s BOE X2 display will be bringing many industry first display features to the device. It features an 8T LTPO AMOLED quad-curved display panel with 2K resolution and is pointed out to be integrated with the Display P2 chip. Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, HDR10+, and Flicker 2.0 PWM will be supported on the device. The display has also received Display Mate++ rating and TUV Rheinland Smart Face Protector High Visibility Certification. The Bright Eye Protection 2.0 support will also ensure both eye protection and better display quality for its users.

The upcoming OnePlus 13 flagship apart from the BOE X2 display panel, is also confirmed to arrive with the OriginOS 5 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system pre-installed within it in China, and the device is suggested to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Its 3C listing revealed that it will support a 100W wired fast charging feature, while reports also claim that the device would have magnetic wireless charging and Qi charging features too. A 6000 mAh battery backup is also expected and it was revealed with its recent TAF Fast Charging and TUV Rheinland certifications.

OnePlus is most likely to have its 13 flagship debut this month itself, and an announcement can be expected after Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor launch. Also, after the Chinese launch that is expected to take place soon, the global variant of the OnePlus 13 smartphone is also said to have its global launch later in the month of December 2024 or January 2025.

OnePlus will soon be unveiling its next flagship smartphone in the Chinese market and its expected launch is to take place this month. Now, the upcoming device has made it to the TAF Fast Charging and TUV Rheinland certification platforms, revealing its battery capacity.

OnePlus 13 – TAF Fast Charging and TUV Rheinland Certifications

Previously, the OnePlus 13 was reported to have been spotted on the 3C, MIIT and Geekbench databases, and it is with the same model number of ‘PJZ110’ that the device has been listed on the TAF website as well. The listing points to specs like 5G network connectivity, 2920 mAh dual cell battery, and type-C charging interface.

Since the device has a 2920 mAh dual cell battery, the total rated battery capacity will be 5840 mAh, meaning that it will probably be marketed as a 6000 mAh typical value battery. Also, do note that OnePlus’ Ace 3 Pro came with a 6100 mAh battery backup, and the brand still seems to continue with the trend of large capacity batteries for its flagship devices. Comparing with its predecessor, the upcoming OnePlus 13 smartphone will thus have a battery capacity increase of about 10%.

Coming to the TUV Rheinland certification, it is a OnePlus smartphone with a 2920 mAh battery that has been listed, and has received the certification with the certificate number – ‘JPTUV-165672’. Since the Chinese variant of the OnePlus 13 smartphone has a dual cell battery with a capacity of 2920 mAh each, this TUV Rheinland-listed OnePlus smartphone is expected to be the global variant of the OnePlus 13 flagship. The device has the model number – CPH2653, and is revealed to have both wired and wireless charging features.

Coming to some of the other recent updates, the OnePlus 13 smartphone (Chinese variant) has been officially confirmed to have the ColorOS 15 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system out of the box, and it will use BOE’s X2 display panel. The 3C certification confirmed a 100W wired fast charge support, while other reports suggest magnetic wireless charging and Qi functionality. The device is also said to come equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

As far as the launch is concerned, the Chinese launch is expected to take place this month in October 2024, whereas the global launch, just like the previous OnePlus flagships, maybe scheduled in the month of December 2024 or January 2025.
