OPPO’s latest Find X8 series is nearing its launch date and just a few days ahead of it, the brand has again teased a few more specifications of the upcoming smartphones. The teaser posters now shared reveals some of the battery and performance specs of the Find X8 series.

OPPO Find X8 Series – Teased Battery and Performance Specs

As per the new poster images, the Find X8 Pro smartphone will be packing a 5910 mAh larger new generation glacier battery with 18% improved battery backup and 13% reduced thickness. The battery is teased to be capable of recording three concerts in a row using Dolby Vision HDR video recording feature, for up to 7.2 hours. Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in comparison is said to last only for 5 hours. To add, in -20°C temperature too, the Find X8 Pro can record Dolby Vision HDR videos for up to 5.3 hours, and on the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will get logged out automatically after 10 minutes.

Users of the Find X8 Pro will also be able to watch about 36 episodes of popular TV shows in one go, and the device would last about 29.3 hours with a single charge, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max may only offer 27.7 hours of battery life.

Coming to the performance specs, along with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, it has also been teased or confirmed that OPPO’s Tidal Engine will also be present in the Find X8 series. With both the MediaTek flagship Dimensity 9400 processor and the brand’s Tidal Engine, peak level of performance and better battery efficiency is assured.

OPPO will be holding a product launch conference in China on the 24th of October 2024 and will be unveiling its Find X8 series smartphones. OPPO will soon be unveiling its Find X8 series flagship devices in its home market in China and later globally, and the global variants of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro smartphones with model numbers – ‘CPH2651’ and ‘CPH2659’ respectively have already appeared on many global certification databases. Just a few days ahead of the Find X8 series debut, the Find X8 Pro Global model has again made it to a certification platform.

OPPO Find X8 Pro Global Variant – GCF Certification

As mentioned, the Find X8 Pro global variant has been listed on the GCF certification platform with the same model number of ‘CPH2659’, and it has been certified on the 15th of October 2024, with the GCF reference number – ‘12536’. The GCF certification database also points out that the Find X8 Pro global variant will support 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network connectivity.

Other than the GCF certification, the Find X8 Pro has also received the BIS, IMDA, EEC, and SDPPI certifications. Just to add, the Chinese variant appeared on AnTuTu, Geekbench, and 3C databases. Also in the Indian market, the device is said to be Indian-made and we exclusively revealed that it will be offered in a 16GB/512GB storage option with an expected launch around the end of this month.

The spec sheet of the Find X8 series devices was leaked a few days back, and it is revealed that the Find X8 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset, is to have the ColorOS 15 custom skin, may have four storage models (12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, 16GB/1TB, and 16GB/1TB Satellite Edition), 50MP (LYT800, wide) + 50MP (LYT600, periscope telephoto, 3x zoom) + 50MP (IMX858, periscope telephoto, 6x zoom) + 50MP (JN5, ultrawide) quad rear camera unit, 32MP (IMX615) front-facing camera, 5910 mAh battery backup, and 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging features.

The company has also officially shared the teaser of this upcoming series, revealing that the upcoming smartphones will arrive in White, Pink, Blue, and Black color options.

OPPO’s latest flagship Find X8 series will debut soon in the Chinese market and as the official launch date nears, the spec sheet of two of the upcoming smartphones have been leaked online. The leaked specs point out that OPPO’s Find X8 series will be a strong competitor for Vivo’s X200 series.

Find X8 – Revealed Specs

Firstly speaking about the vanilla Find X8 smartphone, it is revealed to feature a 6.59″ display screen, and the device is pointed out to have the industry’s narrowest symmetrical bezels. A peak brightness rate of 4500 nits, 2160Hz advanced PWM dimming, Rheinland Intelligent Protection 4.0, and wet hand touch are also supported display specs.

Its thickness and weight are noted as 7.85 mm and 192 gm respectively. The device will also be IP68 & IP69-level dust-and-water-proof, and will have an infrared x-axis linear motor. The processor as confirmed will be the Dimensity 9400 chipset. Many AI features will also be part of the device,

Coming to the cameras, the front camera can be an IMX615 lens (32MP), and at the rear, three camera sensors is revealed to be present – LYT700 (50MP, wide angle), LYT600(50MP, periscope telephoto, 3x zoom), and JN5(50MP, ultrawide). Dolby Vision is also said to be supported at all focal lengths. HASSELBLAD portraits and AI telephoto ultra clear live photos are other camera features.

Regarding the battery, 5630 mAh battery backup with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging features have been revealed. Also, the 80W fast charging feature will let the device fully recharge in just 48 minutes.

16GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB are the listed storage variants, and customers can expect Black and White color choices for the device.

Find X8 Pro – Revealed Specs

Now about the Find X8 Pro, it is suggested to have a 6.78″ larger BOE display with 4500 nits brightness, 2160Hz high frequency PWM dimming, Rheinland Intelligent Protection 4.0, and wet hand touch. It is expected to weigh 215 gm, and be 8.24 mm thin. To add, IP68 & IP69 rated dust and water proof body, front and rear crystal shield glass, and infrared x-axis linear motor are also present.

The processor will be the same Dimensity 9400 chipset, accompanied by many AI capabilities and features.

At the rear, the Find X8 Pro seems to have four camera sensors – LYT800(50MP, wide angle), LYT600(50MP, periscope telephot0, 3x zoom), IMX858(50MP, periscope telephoto, 6x zoom), and JN5(ultrawide). The front camera again will be the IMX615 (32MP) camera. HASSELBLAD Portrait, Quick Start Capture button, and ultra clear live photos are some other listed camera specs.

A 5910 mAh comparatively larger battery will be backed within the device, along with the same 80W wired and 50W wireless charging features. In 55 minutes, users will also be able to fully recharge the device with the 80W wired fast charging feature.

Four storage models – 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, 16GB/1TB, and 16GB/1TB Satellite Edition will be available. It has also been mentioned that the Satellite Edition model will tentatively be available only online.

The official launch of the OPPO Find X8 series will be taking place on the 24th of October 2024 in China and with its launch, we’ll be able to confirm more about the upcoming smartphones. The camera samples of OPPO’s Find X8 Pro are indeed really impressive, revealing the smartphone’s capability in capturing bright and high quality images with very less blurred areas. True colors are perfectly portrayed in the sample images, with great contrast. Also to add, the camera samples point to some camera details as well – 73mm and f/2.6, and confirms the device to sport a HASSELBLAD-branded camera module.

The OPPO Find X8 series will be comprised of three smartphone models – OPPO Find X8, OPPO Find X8 Pro, and OPPO Find X8 Pro Satellite Communication Edition, and the devices will have their debut on the 24th of October 2024 in China. The series is officially confirmed to be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset and will have the ColorOS 15 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system out of the box. BOE X2 Display – Launching on 15th October

As per the poster image that has been shared, the BOE X2 display will be unveiled in the Chinese market this month on the 15th of October 2024, at 2 PM local time, and this will be the brand’s latest flagship flexible OLED display. The poster image also uses the tagline ‘Reach the Pinnacle (translated)’, pointing that the display will be offering better display quality and specs to devices.

In related news, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that this display may have a size of about 6.82″, and should probably be an 8T LTPO display with 2K resolution. He also adds that the display is likely to have uniform bezels too, suitable for a quad-curved display smartphone. Louis Jie, OnePlus China Head, in a similar note also shared that the ‘Second Generation Oriental Screen’ will soon be made available to customers, allowing Chinese screens to take the top lead in the world’s display screen industry.

Apart from the OnePlus 13, OPPO will also be launching its Find X8 series devices this month, and reports claim that the upcoming Find X8 series could also feature this BOE display screen, however, it is not confirmed yet.

Speaking of some other official updates, the OPPO Find X8 series will be unveiled in China on the 24th of October 2024, at 7 PM local time. OPPO’s latest ColorOS 15 custom skin, based on Android 15, will be launched a few days ahead of the Find X8 series launch, and it will take place on the 17th of October 2024, at 10 AM local time. Also to add, the Find X8 series and OnePlus 13 devices are confirmed to have the ColorOS 15 custom skin out of the box.

Our inside source suggests that the Indian launch will take place near Diwali, and do remember that this year’s Diwali is on the 31st of October 2024.

As per a previous report, ColorOS 15 is expected to support the iOS Airdrop feature that will make transferring files and pictures to iOS devices easier. ColorOS 15 is also said to arrive with a Live Photo feature that enables the device to record what happens 1.5 seconds before and 1.5 seconds after you’ve taken a picture.

Apart from this, it is also said to include an iOS-style Control Center, a dynamic Island feature, enhanced animations, and UI Changes. Since this latest custom skin will be based on Android 15 it is also expected to come with several Android 15 features as well.

The Find X8 series is also said to have an ultra model – OPPO Find X8 Ultra, however, it might only be launched next year in January 2025 and will probably be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

Now, a new update has arrived concerning the upcoming vanilla Find X8 smartphone. The full front display of the smartphone revealing its bezel thickness has been shared online, pointing that the device will be featuring thinner bezels this time.

OPPO Find X8 – Revealed to Feature Thinner Bezels

Just last month, we had witnessed the launch of Apple’s iPhone 16 series devices and one of the most notable features was the new camera control button. It was reported recently that OPPO could be bringing an alert slider and a customizable pressure-sensitive button, revealing OPPO’s plans to bring something similar like Apple’s action button and camera controller. Well, one more thing might be adopted by them.

Apart from the camera control button, the latest iPhone 16 series featured thinner bezels which provided the respective devices with more display area. This was notable in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models, and the two had received an increase in display size by 0.2 mm [iPhone 16 Pro – 6.3″ (from 6.1″); iPhone 16 Pro Max 6.9″ (from 6.7″)].

While reports doesn’t point to any display size increase (but a decrease) for the Find X8 smartphone, now it has been shared that the smartphone may only have 1.45 mm narrow black bezels on all four sides (However, the original source mentions it as 1.5 mm). New updates have revealed specs like three 50MP camera sensors – 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 50MP periscope telephoto (3x) camera. The telephoto lens would likely be a Sony LYT-600 camera sensors. IP68/IP69-rated ingress protection, 7 mm thickness, 190 gm weight, and the brand’s BeaconLink off-network communication feature are some other expected specs. Four color choices can be expected as well – Black, White, Blue and Pink.
