OPPO’s latest Find X8 series is nearing its launch date and just a few days ahead of it, the brand has again teased a few more specifications of the upcoming smartphones. The teaser posters now shared reveals some of the battery and performance specs of the Find X8 series.

As per the new poster images, the Find X8 Pro smartphone will be packing a 5910 mAh larger new generation glacier battery with 18% improved battery backup and 13% reduced thickness. The battery is teased to be capable of recording three concerts in a row using Dolby Vision HDR video recording feature, for up to 7.2 hours. Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in comparison is said to last only for 5 hours. To add, in -20°C temperature too, the Find X8 Pro can record Dolby Vision HDR videos for up to 5.3 hours, and on the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will get logged out automatically after 10 minutes.

Users of the Find X8 Pro will also be able to watch about 36 episodes of popular TV shows in one go, and the device would last about 29.3 hours with a single charge, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max may only offer 27.7 hours of battery life.

Coming to the performance specs, along with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, it has also been teased or confirmed that OPPO’s Tidal Engine will also be present in the Find X8 series. With both the MediaTek flagship Dimensity 9400 processor and the brand’s Tidal Engine, peak level of performance and better battery efficiency is assured.

OPPO will be holding a product launch conference in China on the 24th of October 2024 and will be unveiling its Find X8 series smartphones. Do note that the poster images and the Weibo posts shared by OPPO also read that the upcoming launch will also be marking the global debut of the Find X8 series. Today a major update about all these upcoming devices has been revealed online. A user on X platform tipped that OnePlus 13, Oppo Find X8, Oppo Find X8 Pro, Realme GT 7 Pro smartphones will get the same circular shape and same sensor of 50MP LYT 600 OIS periscope camera with 3x optical zoom stretched to 120x digital zoom which is used in Realme 13 Pro+ smartphone.

As per a user @That­_Kartikey on X, the internal structure of these types of periscopes is relatively thinner and lighter than the traditional ones but the quality is not as good as the traditional ones. Also, the users will not be able to do floating tele macro because it requires shifting of lenses which is not possible in this case.

OPPO’s latest flagship Find X8 series will debut soon in the Chinese market and as the official launch date nears, the spec sheet of two of the upcoming smartphones have been leaked online. The leaked specs point out that OPPO’s Find X8 series will be a strong competitor for Vivo’s X200 series.

Find X8 – Revealed Specs

Firstly speaking about the vanilla Find X8 smartphone, it is revealed to feature a 6.59″ display screen, and the device is pointed out to have the industry’s narrowest symmetrical bezels. A peak brightness rate of 4500 nits, 2160Hz advanced PWM dimming, Rheinland Intelligent Protection 4.0, and wet hand touch are also supported display specs.

Its thickness and weight are noted as 7.85 mm and 192 gm respectively. The device will also be IP68 & IP69-level dust-and-water-proof, and will have an infrared x-axis linear motor. The processor as confirmed will be the Dimensity 9400 chipset. Many AI features will also be part of the device,

Coming to the cameras, the front camera can be an IMX615 lens (32MP), and at the rear, three camera sensors is revealed to be present – LYT700 (50MP, wide angle), LYT600(50MP, periscope telephoto, 3x zoom), and JN5(50MP, ultrawide). Dolby Vision is also said to be supported at all focal lengths. HASSELBLAD portraits and AI telephoto ultra clear live photos are other camera features.

Regarding the battery, 5630 mAh battery backup with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging features have been revealed. Also, the 80W fast charging feature will let the device fully recharge in just 48 minutes.

16GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB are the listed storage variants, and customers can expect Black and White color choices for the device.

Find X8 Pro – Revealed Specs

Now about the Find X8 Pro, it is suggested to have a 6.78″ larger BOE display with 4500 nits brightness, 2160Hz high frequency PWM dimming, Rheinland Intelligent Protection 4.0, and wet hand touch. It is expected to weigh 215 gm, and be 8.24 mm thin. To add, IP68 & IP69 rated dust and water proof body, front and rear crystal shield glass, and infrared x-axis linear motor are also present.

The processor will be the same Dimensity 9400 chipset, accompanied by many AI capabilities and features.

At the rear, the Find X8 Pro seems to have four camera sensors – LYT800(50MP, wide angle), LYT600(50MP, periscope telephot0, 3x zoom), IMX858(50MP, periscope telephoto, 6x zoom), and JN5(ultrawide). The front camera again will be the IMX615 (32MP) camera. HASSELBLAD Portrait, Quick Start Capture button, and ultra clear live photos are some other listed camera specs.

A 5910 mAh comparatively larger battery will be backed within the device, along with the same 80W wired and 50W wireless charging features. In 55 minutes, users will also be able to fully recharge the device with the 80W wired fast charging feature.

Four storage models – 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, 16GB/1TB, and 16GB/1TB Satellite Edition will be available. It has also been mentioned that the Satellite Edition model will tentatively be available only online.

The official launch of the OPPO Find X8 series will be taking place on the 24th of October 2024 in China and with its launch, we’ll be able to confirm more about the upcoming smartphones. Our inside source suggests that the Indian launch will take place near Diwali, and do remember that this year’s Diwali is on the 31st of October 2024.

Now speaking of some previous updates, both the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro models have been spotted on the BIS certification platform and a report also claimed that the Find X8 Pro can be manufactured in India rather than being imported from China. Thus this also points that the price of the pro model could be a little less in India.

The latest series is also now officially confirmed to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is pointed out to bring better performance and power efficiency to the devices.

The Find X8 series is also said to have an ultra model – OPPO Find X8 Ultra, however, it might only be launched next year in January 2025 and will probably be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

Reports regarding the next OPPO Find X8 smartphone are being shared a lot recently and the device by far has made some appearance on both global and Chinese certification platforms, which makes us believe that the launch of the device is nearing. Also, it is being said that the Find X8 series could be launched this month on the 21st of October 2024.

Now, a new update has arrived concerning the upcoming vanilla Find X8 smartphone. The full front display of the smartphone revealing its bezel thickness has been shared online, pointing that the device will be featuring thinner bezels this time.

OPPO Find X8 – Revealed to Feature Thinner Bezels

Just last month, we had witnessed the launch of Apple’s iPhone 16 series devices and one of the most notable features was the new camera control button. It was reported recently that OPPO could be bringing an alert slider and a customizable pressure-sensitive button, revealing OPPO’s plans to bring something similar like Apple’s action button and camera controller. Well, one more thing might be adopted by them.

Apart from the camera control button, the latest iPhone 16 series featured thinner bezels which provided the respective devices with more display area. This was notable in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models, and the two had received an increase in display size by 0.2 mm [iPhone 16 Pro – 6.3″ (from 6.1″); iPhone 16 Pro Max 6.9″ (from 6.7″)].

While reports doesn’t point to any display size increase (but a decrease) for the Find X8 smartphone, now it has been shared that the smartphone may only have 1.45 mm narrow black bezels on all four sides (However, the original source mentions it as 1.5 mm). Speaking about some of the other updates, the Find X8 smartphone is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 processor and should probably support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging features. New updates have revealed specs like three 50MP camera sensors – 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 50MP periscope telephoto (3x) camera. The telephoto lens would likely be a Sony LYT-600 camera sensors. IP68/IP69-rated ingress protection, 7 mm thickness, 190 gm weight, and the brand’s BeaconLink off-network communication feature are some other expected specs. Four color choices can be expected as well – Black, White, Blue and Pink.

Also to add with this, the AIRVOOC 50W magnetic charger of OPPO has also been certified by the SIRIM authority, as well as by USA’s FCC authority.

Firstly about the upcoming smartphone, the OPPO Find X8 device has appeared on the SIRIM database with the same model of ‘CPH2651’ with which it had made it to the BIS and SDPPI platforms. It has received the SIRIM certification with the type approval code of ‘RGQL/64H/0924/S(24-4195)’, and the certificate will be valid till the 30th of September 2027.

Apart from the BIS, SDPPI, and SIRIM certifications, the Find X8 was spotted on other global certification databases such as NBTC, EEC, SGS Fimko, and IMDA websites too. It has received Chinese 3C and MIIT certifications as well. The device is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 processor, may feature a 6.5″ 1.5K+ display screen, and is likely to have an 80W fast charge support.

Coming to the AIRVOOC 50W magnetic charger, it bears the model number – ‘OAWV08’ and has received SIRIM certification with type approval code – ‘RGIH/57C/0924/S(24-3964)’. The certification validity will be till the 5th of September 2027.

OPPO/OnePlus AIRVOOC 50W Magnetic Charger – FCC Certification

On the FCC platform, the AIRVOOC 50W magnetic charger has again appeared with the same model number of ‘OAWV08’ and received the certification with FCC ID – ‘2ABZ2-OAWV08’. Interesting to note, the device will also be arriving with OnePlus branding as per the FCC certification.

Other OPPO Related Updates

The OPPO product manager, Zhou Yibao, recently shared via his Weibo handle some updates on the magnetic wireless charging accessories that the company plans to unveil with the Find X8 lineup. This will include 50W magnetic chargers, ultra-thin magnetic cases, and portable magnetic power banks that are said to be compatible with devices of other brands too. He also mentioned that the Find X8 series models will feature 50W wireless charging capability, as well as reverse charging support.

Oppo Find X series can make a comeback with the Find X8 series. It was buzzing in various reports a few months ago, though we didn’t have anything concrete to back this claim. Now ahead of the launch a smartphone with the model number CPH2659 has appeared on India’s BIS. This is believed to be the Oppo Find X8 Pro smartphone. An X user named Anir Chakraborty has shared the screengrab of the listing on X. In the post, he has also highlighted some additional details of the listing. It mentions that the smartphone with the model number CPH2659 will be manufactured in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

First of all, India’s BIS certification confirms the launch of this phone which is believed to be a Find X8 Pro smartphone. Second, this phone will not be imported in India but will be manufactured in India thus not only ensuring its good availability but also at a slightly low price. This model number has also been spotted on certification websites like IMDA, EEC, and Indonesian certification websites.

The Chinese variant of the Oppo Find X8 series smartphones has already cleared 3C and MIIT certification. The series is said to comprise Oppo Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Pro Satellite Version. All three devices are revealed to support 80W fast charging.  Oppo Find X8 smartphone can come with the Dimensity 9400 processor. Previous reports suggest that the Pro variant can be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.

Oppo Find X8 smartphones can come with a 1.5K + resolution display. The Oppo Find X8 can come with a 6.5-inch wide display while the Oppo Find X8 Pro smartphone can come with a 6.7 to 6.8-inch display. As far as the camera department is concerned the Pro variant can come with four 50MP megapixel cameras of which two can be periscope cameras.
