With the Rs 999 plan, users will be able to make 100 minutes of outgoing calls, and 100 SMS and will have 1GB of mobile data with a pack validity of 1 day. incoming calls are not allowed and incoming SMS is free with this plan. The speed of the internet will depend upon the airline on which users are traveling.
These plans are only applicable to Jio’s partner airlines and destinations. The telecom service will ask users to check the list of airlines and in-flight communication services that are available. To activate these plans, users will have to wait till the flight reaches 20,000 feet above in the atmosphere.
After the flight reaches the needed elevation, users have to switch on the phone with the Airplane Mode off. Then the phone will automatically connect to the AeroMobile network. Users are advised to go to the ‘Carrier’ option in phone settings and manually pick AeroMobile if the device is unable to connect to the network. Data roaming should also be made on to use data services. To make calls with this plan, users should dial the phone number followed by ‘+’ and country code.
