NASA’s upcoming Commercial Crew Program missions to the ISS includes the Space X Crew-8 mission, scheduled to be launched mid-February, 2024

NASA has a lot of missions lined up, which are to be launched in the upcoming months. They include the upcoming Atmospheric Waves Experiment or AWE mission, and the Artemis II mission, to name a few. We recently covered updates of both the above-mentioned missions, which you can check here along with some others.

In the latest developments, NASA is also gearing up for the upcoming Space X Crew -8 mission. NASA’s Space X Crew-8 mission is planned to be launched in mid-February, 2024. As of now, NASA is working on the routine maintenance and processing of the Crew-8 Space X Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft.

The Crew-8 mission

The Crew-8 mission is one of NASA’s upcoming missions to the International Space Station for the agency’s Commercial Crew Program. It is the eight-crewed operational NASA Commercial Crew flight of a Crew Dragon spacecraft. Overall, it is the 14^th crewed orbital flight.

The Crew-8 mission will have onboard NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, commander; Michael Barratt, pilot; Jeanette Epps, mission specialist; and also, Roscosmos cosmonaut, Alexander Grebenkin, mission specialist.

Some other Commercial Crew Program missions that NASA has in line include the Starline Crew Flight Test (CFT), planned for mid-April, 2024; Crew-9 mission, planned for mid-August 2024; and the 10^th Crew Rotation Mission, planned for early 2025. NASA Commercial Crew’s official X handle also posted about these planned dates, earlier on October 12.
