NASA’s ULA, Astrobotic Artemis Robotic Moon Launch will commence on 8 January 2024 at 2:18 EST, NASA to share live coverage across various NASA platforms
On November 7, 2023, we updated you about the upcoming NASA’s first United States commercial robotic flight. According to the latest updates, NASA is gearing up for the first commercial robotic launch to the lunar surface on 8 January 2024 at 2:18 a.m. EST.
United Launch Alliance (ULA) and Astrobotics will launch the ULA’s Vulcan rocket and Astrobotic’s Peregrine lunar lander from Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The mission is a part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services. The Vulcan rocket will be carrying NASA science.
Latest reports assert that the launch coverage will stream on NASA+, NASA Television, NASA app, and NASA’s website. Prelaunch events will commence on January 4, 2024.
The Peregrine lunar lander is scheduled to set foot on the Moon on 23 February 2024.
The NASA payloads that will be sent aboard the Peregrine lander will further help NASA researchers develop the capabilities required to explore the Moon under Artemis. Furthermore, it will also facilitate future human missions on the lunar surface.

To briefly state the planned lineup: On the 4th of January Science media briefing via WebX will be organized; On the 5th of January Lunar delivery readiness media teleconference will be organized; and finally on the 8th of January NASA TV launch coverage will begin as well as the official launch.
