The screenplay of the film is written by Scott Teems. It is based on the Novel Firestarter by Stephen King. The novel was also adapted into a film in the year 1984. The 1984 Firestarter film was directed by Mark L. Lester.
Premise: The film follows Charlie, a young woman with the capability of starting a fire with her mind. Her power grows along with her as she grows. Noticing her power, malevolent forces begin to hunt her and her family.
