Sony changes Bravia Core’s name to Sony Pictures Core, enjoy up to 5 movie credits, 4K HDR and IMAX enhanced content and more

Sony Xperia recently took to the social media platform X and announced that Bravia Core is updating its name to SONY PICTURES CORE. The change won’t affect your experience and any credits you already have.

For the unversed, Bravia Core is a video service by Sony, included with eligible models. The same is now going to be known as Sony Pictures Core.

Movie Credits: You can enjoy 4K HDR and IMAX® enhanced movies on Sony Pictures Core with your Xperia smartphone and other eligible devices. Your Xperia smartphone comes with movie credits, and you can redeem up to 5 movie credits. You can add them to your library and if you exhaust your credits, you can buy more or rent movies. Along with it, you can avail 12 months of access to a curated selection of up to 100 movies, which you can watch on repeat.

21:9 Viewing: You can enjoy a 21:9 4K HDR display, which fills the entire phone screen with the movie.

IMAX® Enhanced Content: You can choose from a large collection of IMAX® Enhanced collections with mastered picture quality and immersive audio supported by DTS®.

Studio Access: Sony Pictures Core provides early access to select Sony Pictures releases, behind-the-scenes clips, exclusive bonus content, interactive TV series “Silent Hill: Ascension” and more. Moreover, you can have an amazing immersive surround sound experience as Sony Pictures Core supports DTS: X™ and Dolby Atmos®. Along with it, you can use Chromecast to watch them on your TV.
