Recently, Instagram came up with a new update called notes. Instagram Notes are quick “status updates” that are only visible in the inbox and last for 24 hours. You can share updates with people on your list of Close Friends and with people you follow who follow you back using notes. Notes are limited to 60 characters.
If you wish to disable the notes feature because you are not interested in it, don’t worry. We are here to explain how to disable the feature.
To turn off Instagram Notes, launch the Instagram app on your smartphone and then tap the message icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Several notes from your followers will be presented above the messages when you access the DMs section. Find the note that needs to be silenced. A menu tab will show up on your screen once you have long-pressed the note for some time.
On your screen, a confirmation window will show when you choose “Mute Notes.” Once you’ve done this, you won’t be able to see any notes from the muted accounts.
If this might take a lot of time for you, you have a short method too. Mute them directly from their profile. To do this, click the following box next to the Message button after opening the person’s Instagram profile. There will be a new dialogue box with the “Mute” option. Tap the grey switch next to the “Notes” button to turn it off.
