This news is about the Geological Survey of India’s recent finding in which they have found 5.9 million tonnes of Lithium inferred resources in J&K. Further, the journalist shared the data on lithium resources in different countries which showed

China – 5.1 MT Lithium resource

This is going to be a game changer for the economy of J&K and the whole of India too. One of the Twitter users Mutahir Khan wrote in a comment “Means the future lies here”, while another user Rakesh Dhar shared a detailed analysis by writing “ The availability of Lithium is good news but it needs to be refined before it can be used in batteries. More than 50% of Lithium is mined in Australia and 85% of Lithium refining capacity is in China”
