Contest Alert! Micromax kicks off IN 1b promotion with a contest on twitter

Micromax is vying eagerly for a comeback in Indian markets with its new budget smartphones, the IN 1b and the IN Note 1 . The Gurugram-based company has touted its brand-new smartphone series as a Make In India initiative. In this manner, with this newfound vigor the company is looking to win over the market and take over the hegemony of the smartphone giant brands in India like Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo etc.

The brand took to twitter to announce an exciting contest to win the all new IN 1b. A twitter account dedicated especially to the smartphone had previously tweeted “Be the first to get the IN 1b by participating in the contest starting tomorrow at 12 Noon. Simply answer the 10 questions and stand a chance to win one of the 3 IN 1bs up for grabs. Stay Tuned.” This has been followed by the ongoing contest questions. Ever since the fist question went live, the answers and retweets have been off the charts making Micromax trend on twitter.

“In line with our vision of democratizing technology, these Made in India smartphones offer the best-in-segment specifications at ‘in for India’ prices. We have received an overwhelming response from customers for the ‘in’ brand. We are positive that with the new range of smartphones, we will continue to garner the love and support of our customers,” Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax said in a press statement.

There is no doubt that the brand is trying to ride the present wave of anti-China sentiment and use the nationalistic sentiment to establish itself as a major brand in the market once again.
