Samsung has launched today the T5 EVO portable Solid State Drive (SSD) with up to 8TB memory size. These SSDs are available worldwide starting from today. The T5 EVO is available in 3 different memory sizes; 2TB, 4TB and 8TB, priced at $189.99, $349.99 and $649.99 respectively.
The T5 EVO SSDs come with a compact and ergonomic design with 99mm width, 40mm length and 17mm thickness. The compact and lightweight design at 102 grams makes this SSD easily manageable.
This SSD has a black body with a titan gray ring which provides it with a sleek look. The metal ring design makes it easy to get into a bag or any other luggage. The metal body and the rubberized surface of this SSD protect itself from external shocks like drops of up to 2 meters.
The T5 EVO has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 and it helps to transfer data of up to 3.8 times faster than external HDDs. Up to 460 megabytes per second of read and write speeds are possible with this SSD for making easier transfer of larger files.
The Thermal Guard technology and hardware data encryption inbuilt in this SSD provides the needed security for the users. The Dynamic Thermal Guard technology protects this SSD from overheating and maintains optimal operating temperatures.
