Website claiming to deliver free Ram Mandir Prasad suspended by Delhi HC over false claim

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently unveiled the Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya in the newly built Ram Mandir. And undoubtedly it was a splendid moment for every Indian. Before this moment, the Indian PM requested people to not rush Ayodhya in order to prevent stampede or rush. This allowed a few content creators to promote a website named KHADI ORGANIC.

Reels were surfacing on the internet saying “You can book free Ram Mandir’s Prasad”. The website only asked for the delivery charge as per the content creators which was Rs 51 and promised to deliver it at doorstep.

As soon as this information spread people started deep diving into websites that later showed that there is no such association with the Ram Mandir or the government of Uttar Pradesh. The Delhi High Court has banned the site that illegally tried to create a false association with the trademark “khadi” whose official registered proprietor is Khadi and Village Industries Commission. The website tried to promote itself as an official site “for the sale of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Prasad”.

Now the website has been prohibited from producing, marketing, offering for sale, exporting, and advertising. And this has been done in compliance with the order issued by the Delhi High Court. The court took the false claim spread by the website into consideration and issued the order to shut down the website.

However, now the website page reads that the amount paid by the customers will be paid to them at the earliest.
