This project involved four stages- hardware design, wallpaper design, packaging design, and marketing campaign. In July this project was said to be in its last stage and it was expected that the company might soon unveil this community edition device. But noting as such happened.

Well, this project is now finally complete and the company has also officially confirmed that Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition will be launched on 30th October.

Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition

First is the hardware stage, the design of the device is kept the same as that of the Phone (2a) but when the device is kept in the dark it glows in a neon shade as it utilizes Phosphorescence. Next is the wallpaper design, in which hand-drawn elements and a variety of tools like sketching, digitalizing, AI generating, and post-editing are combined to create a unique, layered, and rich process.

Now comes the packaging design, the box arrives with the super macro crop. It features a new design and a new color theme. The box also showcases a single camera lens.

The last stage was a marketing campaign that is said to focus on the inner light with the tagline- Find your light. Capture your light.

If we talk about the specs, the Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition is expected to arrive with the same specifications as that of the Nothing Phone (2a) smartphone.
