Zoom restores service after users hit by partial outage

Video-conferencing company Zoom Video Communications had restored service to its users after a partial outage left several US users unable to log in to attend meetings or school classes remotely.

Outage tracking website Downdetector showed around 17,000 reporting issues with logging in to the video conferencing service earlier in the day, Reuters reported.

“We have resolved the issue causing users to be unable to start and join Zoom meetings and webinars. Users are now also able to sign up for paid accounts, upgrade, and manage their service on the Zoom website,” Zoom said.

However, the company did not provide details on the cause of the outage.
