Google Announced Its New First Of Its Kind Smartwatch Fitbit Ace LTE For Kids

Google has announced a new smartwatch for kids ages 7+ and this smartwatch name is Fitbit Ace LTE. The smartwatch has not only been developed to keep parents focused but also kids so that they love wearing it. It allows parents to have access to real-time locations, send and receive text and voice messages, and decide who can call their child. On the other side, the kid also gets interactive 3D games, a customizable creature to take care of, and more.

Specifications of Fitbit Ace LTE

The newly announced Fitbit Ace LTE smartwatch comes with super exciting 3D games that motivate a kid to move more in order to unlock more games. It uses haptics, sounds, the accelerometer, and more to deliver fun and engaging gameplay. It will also be receiving new games every few months.

The smartwatch’s location and activity can be accessed easily in their app though the location is deleted after 24 hours and activity data is deleted after a maximum of 35 days. The contacts saved by the parent can only call and message the device. Apart from games the customizable creatures Eejies also motivate kids to move, play, and be healthy. This creature gets more healthy and happy the more kids reach their movement goals. This creature’s look can further be customized through earned tickets through movement. This smartwatch comes with six collectible bands that are just not a band because as soon as a kid attaches a band its built-in technology unlocks different items, styles, rooms, and Noodles.

Parents can download the Fitbit Ace app on their iOS and Android devices which enables them to see their child’s live location,  call, send and receive text and voice messages, add contacts they trust, and manage settings like School Time to eliminate distractions during class. The company will soon also roll out the Tap to Pay feature so that kids have safe and easy access to pocket money. The smartwatch is water resistant up to 50 meters and its battery can last up to 16 hours. Its display stays protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Price and availability

The smartwatch is already available in the US for pre-order for $229.95 exclusively at the Google Store or in Amazon’s online store. Parents wont have to buy a SIM and insert it but they will have to buy a Fitbit Ace Pass data plan in order to enable the built-in LTE connectivity for calling, messaging and location sharing as well as access the Fitbit Arcade and receive regular updates such as new games and Noodles. The Fitbit Ace Pass is priced at $9.99 a month, or $119.99 for an annual subscription, with annual subscribers also receiving a collectable Ace Band (valued at $34.99). The smartwatch will be available from June 5th only on Google Store and Amazon.
