Honor MagicPad 2 launched in China with a bigger 12.3 Inch OLED Display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3: Check Price, Specs and features

The day has arrived, and Honor has launched multiple gadgets today in its home country China. In this article, however, I will specifically talk about the Honor MagicPad 2. Interestingly, we recently spotted it on the TDRA certification site, which hints that it may also launch outside of China. So, let’s check what powers this new tablet from Honor.

Honor MagicPad 2 Specs

It comes with a 12.3-inch OLED display with a screen resolution of 3000×1920, 1600 nits of peak brightness, and supports four levels of refresh rate, with a maximum of up to 144Hz (144Hz/120Hz/90Hz/60Hz). The screen is slightly smaller at 12.3 inches compared to its predecessor, the Honor MagicPad 13, which was launched last year in China and featured a 13-inch screen. Additionally, the new model includes Honor Oasis eye protection technology and offers ultra-high frequency 4320Hz PWM dimming.

Under the hood, it features the recently released Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and runs on MagicOS 8.0.1, a custom skin based on Android 14. Although the chipset supports 5G connectivity, this tablet is launched as a Wi-Fi only variant, but a 5G variant might also be in the works. The Honor MagicPad 2 includes AI features such as Voiceprint noise reduction, support for multi-person conference voice-to-text conversion, and the Cloud AI Big Model.

Design-wise, it features a 5.8mm ultra-thin body and weighs about 555g, as it is made with a feather fibre material. Camera-wise, it includes a 13MP (f/2.0 AF) main rear camera with a round LED flash, while the front has a 9MP (f/2.2 FF) selfie shooter.

In my opinion, the battery size is also decent, being 10050 mAh (rated 10,000 mAh), and it supports 66W fast charging (compatible with 35W, 22.5W, and 10W charging). Moreover, Honor is including a charger in the box in its home country.

It supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Bluetooth 5.3. The audio has also been upgraded to spatial sound with an eight-speaker crossover combination, an extra-large bass core, three microphones, and a 100° ultra-wide sound field. It also supports the Honor Magic Pencil 3, which you will need to purchase separately.
